October  7 & 8, 2011


Springhill Lumberjack Festival- 28th year with lots of food, fun, entertainment and a great children’s corner.  Starts at Noon on Friday and continues through special entertainment on Saturday night.  Arts & Craft and Food Vendors welcome.  This Festival is now held in the Frank Anthony Park.  Contact Jill Hodges  @ 318-318-465-3989.

Springhill Lumberjack Festival Parade is held on Main Street on Saturday.  The lineup is at 9 AM at the South end of the South Main Mall and the parade rolls at 10 AM.  Parade precedes north on Main Street and back to the mall on lst St. S.E.  Entries are invited from Beauty Queens, Businesses, Clubs, Individuals, Antique Cars and Antique Tractors.   For entry and information call Jan Corrales @ 318-539-5699.

Springhill Main Street Car Show- Antique, Classic, Street rods, all types cars, trucks, motorcycles are invited to register and be a part of this fun event.  Show is located beside Chamber of Commerce, 400 Giles Street,  in the Farmers Market area.  Registration begins at 7:30 AM with the registration fee $10.  Show from 9 until 3.  Entrants may enter the parade.  Contact Jan Corrales @ 318-539-5699.

Springhill Main Street Antique Tractor & Engine Show. If you own an older tractor please bring it to our fun tractor Show.  No fee to register.  Tractors will be on show from 9 AM until 3 PM.  Contract:  James Burns 870-859-5750 or Jan Corrales 318-539-5699.


November 4 & 5, 2011


Main to Main Trade Days, Webster Parish, LA.  You will travel from Springhill Main Street, down Cullen Main Street, then cross over to Highway 371 traveling South to Sarepta, onto Cotton Valley and Dixie Inn.  Here turn East on Highway 80 travel downtown Minden then out Highway 371 to Sibley and to the parish line.   You will find antiques, “junktiques”, clothes, furniture, toys, anything you can name, just look and you shall find.   From garage sales to all types of food you will not believe how much fun you can have in two days.  For information call  Pattie Odom in Minden at 318-371-4258 or Jan Corrales in Springhill  at 318-539-5699.

Springhill/North Webster Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade.  This afternoon parade begins at 2:00 at the old Springhill High School Building at Church Street and Highway #371, goes South on Arkansas Street (#371), turns left on Vine Street, then left onto Main Street, ending at Machen Drive and the Clock Tower.  This parade will feature Santa and afterward “Santa in the Park”  PLUS “Storylady” and other children’s activities , all taking place in the Springhill City Park.  In case of rain,  the children may talk to  “Santa and Story Lady” inside the Civic Center in the Park.  For parade entries, venders,  sign up to entertain in the Park and other information, please call the Chamber, 318-539-4717.

The 3rd Annual Sarepta Christmas Festival will be held at 210 Vine Street.  Chilie Cook-Off, live entertainment, car show and much more.  Arts & Craft  and Food Vendors welcomed.  Contact 318-847-4333 for additional information.

Springhill Main Street’s Christmas on Main.  Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus visit with the children at AmJenn’s Soups & Scoops, 218 North Main Street.  Free photo’s are taken of the children with Santa then they may register for a gift card.   Down the street at Mom & Pop’s Pharmacy, 233 South Main Street, all ages may ride around the historic district  in a beautiful white Super Stretch Limonene and Stretch Hummer compliments of Carter Federal Credit Union.   Refreshments will be served.   For information call Jan Corrales @ 318-539-5699.
